We understand that investing isn't right for everyone. It's well known that share prices, their value and the income they provide can go down as well as up and you might not get back what you originally invested; so if you're not sure whether it's appropriate we'd recommend you seek independent advice.
Once you've opened an account trading is simple – when you login, you will see an account of all your investments with the option to buy and sell these or any other UK-listed shares, as well as certain European and US shares. And to help you decide where to put your money, you can compile a Stock Watch list. This enables you to follow in one place the progress of the companies you are considering investing in.

Remember, there is no signing-up fee – it costs just £12.50 every time you trade (plus stamp duty, PTM levy of £1 on trades of £10,000+ and a £7.50 additional charge for selling share certificates).
